Garden Plain residents have access to three parks along with baseball/softball fields. These parks are the setting for many of our community events and gatherings. During ball season, you can hear the sounds of America's favorite pastime late into the evening.
Beck Field is located on Main Street, has 4.77 acres devoted entirely to ball field purposes.
Garden Plain City Park is a ten-acre park located on the east side of the city. It is fully developed and includes a Disc Golf course with a night-time glow play option. Our city park also offers 2 new Pickleball courts, a tennis court, a softball diamond, basketball court, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, shelters, picnicking areas, and playground equipment with a soft walking surface. St. Anthony Church also has a delightful playground area with modern equipment and a soft walking surface. Ternes Park, on the north side of the city, is a .75 acre park for sandlot ball and picnics.
The entire Garden Plain city park or just certain areas of the park are available for reservation. Click on the link below to download the application. Please bring your completed form to City Hall at 505 N. Main. The park shelter and ball diamond cannot be reserved during league play. Shelter Reservation Application
