Media Release: City of Garden Plain receives $1.635 M in grant funds for aquatic facility
At the Sept. 4 City Council meeting the Council approved a grant award agreement with the National Parks Service for $1.635 M in funding toward the build out of a public acquatics facility to include a zero-entry pool, splash pad, and amenities. Read the full announcement here!
Best of Garden Plain 2024 Photo Contest
Calling all photographers! The City of Garden Plain is pleased to announce our second annual Best of Garden Plain photo contest! We are asking for your help to showcase our amazing GP community and the opportunity for your photos to be featured in our 2025 community calendar. Media Release: City of Garden Plain receives funding for playground equipment at Ternes ParkOn Aug. 23 the City was granted $3,500 in Community Reinvestment Funds from Garden Plain State Bank for the purchase of two new pieces of planground equipment for Ternes Park. The new equipment includes monkey bars and 12 pebble-path pods, both sized for children ages 2-12, which is the target age group for the park. Read the full announcement here.

The Governing Body of the City of Garden Plain will meet on September 4, 2024 at 6:00 pm at 507 N Main St. for the purpose of a public hearing relating to the proposed use of all funds and the amount of ad valorem (property) tax.
